Body Heat and calories?

answers1: Yes this is one of the reasons we are so fat these days we
don't need the calories our parents did just to stay warm
answers2: Yes. The reason is that the human body will immediately
react to possible life-threatening circumstances like hypothermia.
The rise in the required energy it takes to change the body's blood
circulation to favor your internal organs to keep you alive causes the
body to give off more heat which is why we start to shiver because our
internal body temperature drops. Now, we are shivering, which absorbs
more of our energy stores because our body is trying to regulate
itself by trying to normalize body temp. Once you stop shivering,
you're in trouble. That's when people start to lose body parts to
frostbite because there is no blood flowing in those parts anymore.
