answers1: It depends what school you go to, I graduated with a degree
in history, which fell under arts and humanities, but arts and
humanities fell under the school of science, so my diploma says a
bachelors of science in history.
answers2: It's always been social science most places, remember jr
high, social studies? Just a different name for the same thing. <br>
<br>
If I were head of that University, History would be the top of the
food chain of its own department.
answers3: This is a good question. I was just reading about the
philosophy of history in Mark Gilderhus' History and Historians, in
particular the positivist vs. idealist viewpoints which pertain to
this issue. Basically there are two fundamental thought processes in
analyzing history. On the one hand, positivism would see history
studied through scientific and mathematical methods. One would examine
history to determine rational cause-effect relationships that could be
applied generally. To me this is unrealistic hogwash. You cannot use
math to determine the outcomes of human events. Human beings aren't
always rational. they're very complex individuals. The idealists would
study history by first examining the actions taken, then attempting to
empathize with the historical actors. To get inside their heads and
judge their actions this way. By analyzing the primary source
documents and drawing reasonable conclusions about past individuals
states of mind. This adds the crucial human element lacking in the
positivist equation and in my opinion makes history worth studying.
<br>
<br>
So in my opinion i believe that history should be in the humanities
department and not lumped in with the social sciences.

RE: <br>
Should History be considered Arts/Humanities, or Social Science? <br>
When I began college, majoring in history at Michigan State
University, the History department fell in the college of arts and
letters (humanities), but by the time I graduated, the admin had
decided to move it to the college of social sciences. Is history a
social science, or an art and/or...
answers5: Although many universities organize their History Department
within the "School of Social Sciences," it's not really a great fit.
<br>
<br>
The "Social Sciences" are the products of a specific time and place
during which the "scientific method" was applied to human behavior.
That is, Psychologists, Sociologists, Anthropologists and Political
Scientists were applying data to test hypotheses about human behavior.
And those tests should be replicatable by other researchers. <br>
<br>
History isn't done that way. For one thing, history is as old as human
civilization, and isn't a product of the 19th Century. Second, it's
more "art" than it is "science." A good historian is, first, a good
storyteller. Although history should be based on empirical fact, it
isn't data-driven. <br>
<br>
So although it may deal with similar subject matter, history is more
akin to literature and art than it is to the social sciences.
answers6: Is History A Social Science
answers7: For the best answers, search on this site <a
href="https://shorturl.im/axghQ"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>https://shorturl.im/axghQ</a> <br>
<br>
Because the folks at Y!A that categorized this site are idiots. You'll
find it under Arts & Humanities; probably because they considered it a
'human' thing.
answers8: I pondered that myself as it was part of social science in
secondary school but a humanities in university. I think the
distinction is that in secondary school, one is learning history,
meaning facts, dates, people involved, etc. In university, the
emphasis shifts to interpreting history, such as why a certain event
occurred and what did it effect afterwards. In other words, the social
sciences form the foundation upon which the humanities are built.
answers9: Hi, just wanted to mention, I enjoyed this discussion. quite
valuable replies
answers10: History is a compilation of facts, which can be broadly
interpreted. It's not a social science, because it doesn't have the
focus of, say, economics and politics. You can probably claim most
social sciences as small categories, which can be gathered under the
big umbrella of History.

I need 2 Humanities credits, could i take spanish, would this class as humanities?
answers1: Probably, but it depends upon your school. Check your
undergraduate catalog, or ask your advisor. By definition, a foreign
language is a form of humanities. The university I attended accepted
foreign language coursework for humanities requirements, but only at
the intermediate or advanced levels; introductory courses did not
fulfill the requirement. Some schools consider a foreign language
course to fulfill the humanities requirements. Other schools use the
term "humanities" when they really just mean "fine arts" and want a
course in literature, visual arts, or performing arts.
answers2: Spanish, the second most popular language on earth after
english, should be a humanities subject. Check with your guidance
counsellor to be sure
answers3: Not in my college
answers4: It just depends on your college. Set up an appointment with
your guidance couselor.
answers5: i'm uncertain why an 8th grader may be put in a eleventh and
twelfth grade type. I mean, does not the curriculum be plenty too

Are the Arts & Humanities far less important than Business? Why or why not?
answers1: Whatever is important for you is important. OTOH, if art
doesn't mean much to you, it doesn't mean art isn't valuable or
useful. Not to assume, but your comment does appear to be judgmental.
You can be sure that whatever turns you on is a turnoff to someone
else. So mind your judgments. <br>

answers2: I would say no... Arts and Humanities stand equal to
business in the way of development of lets say any country... Even
business contains " ethics " which is nothing but a developed version
of humanity and practice.. things such as motivation to employees,
creativity, innovations, etc are all important aspects of business
without which it can't stand for longer... <br>
Arts on the other hand makes us familiar to our ethics and religion or
say the truths people have realized in their lives (eg. poetry tells
us the experiences of poets) .. and these truths are somewhere or the
other utilized in day to day activities of business(some might not
even realize this but it happens)... a good example is the
relationship between employees and entrepreneur of the same
business... A good entrepreneur has the art to handle his employees
and take out maximum work from them... This art he learns via
socializing himself with them(or people similar to them) and from the
lessons he learned through out his life(by reading articles, novels
and by meeting different types of people).... <br>
<br>
so for the conclusion i can tell u that yes both of them are
important... metaphorically our culture, arts, humanities, etc are the
base of the lighthouse... without the help of lighthouse(business) the
ships(people) won't be able to reach the port( their goals) on time...
and to build this lighthouse we need a base i.e. of course our
ethics...
answers3: I totally agree with Miliue. If there weren't art, etc.,
this world would be pretty boring!
answers4: People create art to find meaning. <br>
<br>
Arts and humanities teach us how to be human, how to reflect on life
and ourselves, and how to weigh what is important, how to be in the
world. Every culture has its literature and art that shows how and
why, teaches life lessons and ethics, and allows someone to step out
of their lives and imagine life in other ways. <br>
<br>
Imagine trying to innovate without some wonder and daydreams, those
leaps of logic and art that a spreadsheet or bottom-line will not
provide. <br>
<br>
Does one go to a cleaner or a library for enlightenment, do you visit
a museum or a grocery store to see great art, can you capture the
emotion and beauty of music at your car dealership; maybe, but
probably not. Art is a mirror. Business is business. The Soviet system
showed what happens when art and beauty are excised from life...people
rebelled and craved art, hiding it, sharing it even as it was
outlawed, risking their lives to have it. <br>
<br>
Without art and literature we'd have a bleak and hollow world.
answers5: I agree, Arts and Humanities is pretty useless during an
economical crisis. <br>
As a matter of fact, Arts and Humanities has never been useful except
for drawing certain plants, body systems...etc.
answers6: No simply because humanities is about persons and their
interest, and they are all in some sort of business or educational
pursues, while Business is vital, even courses I took after my degree
of Liberal Arts, the Executive Secretarial courses have been pulling
me through 7 years now, 4 of which I'm alone and knew nothing about
bills, and other business strata, on a personal level.
answers7: Arts and Humanities are not merely for creating pictures.
These subjects often help us develop the capacity for lateral thought,
which is increasingly important. In fact, recent theorists have
hypothesised that cognitive flexibility, inventiveness, and other
traits associated with lateral thinking, are essential to adapt to
rapidly changing global forces. A scholarly paper has also written
explicitly with this in mind, called 'Solving business problems using
a lateral thinking approach'. <br>
<br>
Studies in Visual Arts in particular, are also crucial to understand
the limitless depths of Visual Language in our contemporary society,
as very few students develop this ability without formal tuition. Such
knowledge helps inform our decisions, and also helps create effective
advertising. <br>
<br>
Suffice to say, Business would not be the same without studies in
Humanities, as they encourage lateral thinking and critical thinking,
which are both required for effective performance in both business (as
discussed earlier) and tertiary studies.
answers8: Really - you've got a good discussion going, but no one else
seems to realize you've asked the same question at least three times,
with three great answer threads
answers9: Riiiiight. Like Bernie Madoff is the greatest humanitarian
who ever lived. Like Lehman Brothers is responsible for creating
millions of jobs and raising the living standard of millions of poor
people. <br>
<br>
What kind of drugs are you on, anyway?
answers10: Arts & Humanities are part of every business and business
is a part of arts & humanities. This is like comparing a nose with a
foot. They are both part of the body but obviously have different
functions. You can't appreciate a work of art unless you know about
it. marketing your art work or theory is essential if you want people
to know about it or to impact society & culture. When a business is
created it is always solving a problem or facilitating solving a
problem. Art, humanities and business work hand in hand.

Describe how art history and art criticism are different.?

martial arts is it an art?
answers1: Any activity requiring time, effort, energy and commitment
is an art. Whether the end result is a painting, a song, a dance, a
movie or a set of martial techniques. Art, like beauty, is in the eye
(or ear,) of the beholder.
answers2: it could be seen as beautiful <br>
<br>
it could also be called "martial strategy"
answers3: it is supposed to be beautiful to watch, like kata for
example, kata is supposed to look perfect and eye catching, but it has
deadly applications
answers4: well friend i consider it an art. its beauty lies within its
movements and applicable thought implications. <br>
<br>
i would equate its beauty to a ballet dancer or a painter in the sense
that a ballet dancer utilizes grace, speed, momentum, and flexibility
to touch your emotions...samething goes for a martial artist. the
painter creates beautiful pieces from his mind and he does it using
very simple tools. a martial artists' tools are his limbs, or
weaponry. from his mind flows infinate possibilites on how to best use
what he has to express himself. <br>
<br>
now you can really see the beauty and full expression during a form.
if you sat and witnessed amillion ppl execute the same form, you'll
get amillion different interpretations. and you can tell after the
form is completed, just how much the artist expressed himself. its a
great sight. <br>
<br>
now a painter uses a canvus...a ballet dancer uses a stage or studio.
a martial artist uses another human being. <br>
<br>
getting more indepth, the greatest martial artist leaves behind their
best portaits...their own created styles. Jeet kun do, kyokushin,
shotokan, wado ryu, aikido, etc... all great works of art.
answers5: Of course it is. That is preposterous that you would degrade
such a beautiful art with a disgusting question.

what is art?
answers1: Art is universal that something your create with all your

Where in Arizona would I have the most respectable B.A. degree in graphic design?
answers1: You need to rethink ALL your choices. They all are
for-profit scam schools. Watch "College Inc" on Frontline. <br>
<br>
If its one of the Art Institutes run by EDMC (all of them that use the <br>
AI logo), avoid them like a plague. They're not an art school <br>
employers take seriously. They're open enrollment, they take ANYONE. <br>
They just want the financial aid from the government that you are <br>
entitled to. The government is now suing them for 11 Billion Dollars
which could wipe them off the map easily. They also got hit with
ANOTHER lawsuit claiming the same thing! <br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
If you ask me, they're an elaborate corporate scam to funnel as many <br>
Government Pell grants and guaranteed loans out of students as they <br>
can and leave the students with the bill. <br>
<br>
They're like McDonald's of Art "Colleges". They're a chain that is <br>
popping up everywhere. They buy out dying schools, rename them, keep <br>
the accreditation.They create programs designed for impulse buyers and
quick hits aka uninformed students. <br>
<br>
They may seem like they would be good, but it is all smoke and <br>
mirrors. Pretty building with pretty computers. Meanwhile, it will <br>
just ruin your life. <br>
<br>
The market demand they say they're meeting is not the demand of the <br>
Job market, its the demand of the students. Students that graduated AI <br>
are struggling to get jobs and have over more than $50,000+ or <br>
$90,000+ in debt depending on what degree they went for. Degrees that <br>
are worthless in the job market. <br>
<br>
Basically, AI is a degree mill, a total debt factory. They use bloated
success stats and <br>
circle logic to back them up. <br>
<br>
They count students working at Toys R Us as in the field. Avoid them <br>
if you want to actually have a decent future. <br>
<br>
If you really want to pursue your passion, go to a community college, <br>
study fine art, and then transfer into a state school. It will be <br>
cheaper and the money you save you can buy your own equipment and <br>
STILL have money left over for a better future. <br>
<br>
Their job leads are bogus, they go to Monster, Craigslist, and career <br>
builder just like everyone else. Their top employer is HOME DEPOT <br>
(Check their own website) and I guarantee none of those are art jobs. <br>
<br>
Don't make the same mistake my friends and I did. We'll be paying for <br>
it for the rest of our lives. <br>

online photography course has been developed for beginners -
intermediate levels and will teach you how to make the best use of
your DSLR camera. <a href="https://tr.im/XagSc"

Learning how to confidently use your DSLR will help you get full value
out of this awesome camera you have already paid for! <br>

This course has been developed after seeing many potential
photographers give up far too soon, wasting good money they have spent
on the purchase of their DSLR camera.
answers5: Id suggest you to get a double degree with photography or

for-profit scam schools. Watch "College Inc" on Frontline. <br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
If you ask me, they're an elaborate corporate scam to funnel as many <br>
Government Pell grants and guaranteed loans out of students as they <br>
can and leave the students with the bill. <br>
<br>
They're like McDonald's of Art "Colleges". They're a chain that is <br>
popping up everywhere. They buy out dying schools, rename them, keep <br>
the accreditation.They create programs designed for impulse buyers and
quick hits aka uninformed students. <br>
<br>
They may seem like they would be good, but it is all smoke and <br>
mirrors. Pretty building with pretty computers. Meanwhile, it will <br>
just ruin your life. <br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Basically, AI is a degree mill, a total debt factory. They use bloated
success stats and <br>
circle logic to back them up. <br>
<br>
They count students working at Toys R Us as in the field. Avoid them <br>
if you want to actually have a decent future. <br>
<br>
If you really want to pursue your passion, go to a community college, <br>
study fine art, and then transfer into a state school. It will be <br>
cheaper and the money you save you can buy your own equipment and <br>
STILL have money left over for a better future. <br>
<br>
Their job leads are bogus, they go to Monster, Craigslist, and career <br>
builder just like everyone else. Their top employer is HOME DEPOT <br>
(Check their own website) and I guarantee none of those are art jobs. <br>
<br>
Don't make the same mistake my friends and I did. We'll be paying for <br>
it for the rest of our lives. <br>
<br>
If you go with AI you'll be folding clothes at Target or hawking video <br>

"Art" vs. "art" assignment for Intro to Visual Arts?
answers1: WELL...umm....i'd say this: <br>
<br>
Art is whole I find no difference <br>
Art is just Art <br>
Art has no differenece they relay what ever: you the artist intends to

When i see the word Art, it attracts me as "A" here is much louder.
Whereas seeing art means just another word.

artwork is so great as to contain the two a canvas being painted

Why do people use the term acting Black or acting White?
answers1: I hate that. I get accused of "talking white" because I
don't like slang or abbreviating words. And I'm known to correct
people's spelling and/or grammar. <br>
<br>
It's like no I'm a biracial chick who hates morons.
answers2: i suppose its just that theres still i seperation between
black and white people ... ders still racism in the world !!!
answers3: I agree. The whole idea is stupid. Most of the people I know
who "act black" or "act white" were raised around white or black
people. So they aren't trying to be like them as much as they are
acting like they were raised to. The only white friends who I know who
stereotypically act black have a lot of black friends and eventually
developed that kind of behavior. <br>
<br>
So no you aren't acting like a color. You can't act like a color. You
are just acting the way you learned how to act.
answers4: Because there are a lot of people (including Al Sharpton)
that depend on black people to act like pieces of garbage and commit
crime so he can cry about what an outrage it is everytime a crack
dealer gets arrested. <br>
<br>
The powers that be you want to talk with your "***** dialect" to scare
stupid white people, and make them assume you're a criminal so they
see you as an enemy rather than a potential friend. <br>
<br>
The people in power depend on the segregation of whites and blacks to
hold onto their power, because the second we stop looking at race and
start looking at social class, we realize there are a hell of a lot
more of us working our fingers to the bone than there are guys in
suits sitting around smoking cigars and collecting the money we're
money. <br>
<br>
The most rebellious thing a black man can do is to become rich and
successful through legal means (and not being an entertainer) and
speak like a human being, not a stereotype. All white people speak
differently, why can't all black people?
answers5: Because they are morons who rely on stereotypes and
generalizations to "teach" them about life.
answers6: well lets face it different cultures have their own
mannerisms and yup you can act black or white. the operative word is
MANNERISMS not GOALS
answers7: No, you can't act a color. But you can act a culture. And
these cultures are defined by which racial group makes up the
majority.. <br>
<br>
And white culture is speaking proper english with proper grammer.
Showing respect to people around you. Valuing education, etc. <br>
<br>
And "black" culture is gangasta, obnoxious, hiphop, drug obsessed. <br>
<br>
It doesn't mean everybody in these cultures is a specific race, it's
just a statistical representation.
answers8: You seem very self concious because if you act like and look
like what you want then why does it matter what they say. Black people
in GENERAL do similar things, act similar, and dress similarly. Now
with that said with my personal style "preppy" which is not the
sagging, urban (however you want to genrealize black people) style
does not get me called an oreo. Perhaps its your personality that adds
to the fact that you dress differently. For example you don't want to
be called an oreo or said to be acting white yet you "stereotype" by
saying you speak regular american english as if only white people do
so. It seems to me that you already have the if its white then your
alright complex...and that is your philosophy without how you dress
being a factor.
answers9: No, you're right. You can't ''act a color'' but you can act
a culture, when they say black, they mean ''african-american'' and
when they try to act that way, they act out the most transparent
stereotype, by acting 'hood' or 'gangsta' because of what the media
and rap industry represents on behalf of your race.
answers10: I get so annoyed by that. Just because I don't listen to
rap, educated, and know how to speak correct English does not mean
that I am "acting white". I know my history and where I came from. I
love my people and my culture but I like other cultures too (not so
much the people). If you're quiet and respectful, then you are
apparently "acting white". So stupid. Why must African Americans or
anyone have limitations to how we are "suppose" to act? <br>
<br>
A black person is only acting when when they forget the fact that they
are black and want to be white. Otherwise than that, you're just
acting like an educated black person, like many others but people fail
to see us that way.

does cancer & pisces usually act?
answers1: Every Cancer man I know has mostly female friends, and very
few, if any male friends. They are feminine in their relationships and
seeks a woman who will stand up for him and take care of him,
basically be the guy in the relationship except for in the
bedroom(Must be why most of them are attracted to Scorpio and Aries
women). They are extremely judgmental and critical of women at times,
although they are that way towards most people. I think it is the
influence of the moon in the sign, because Cancer women I know are not
like this. Honestly, I am not saying Cancer men are all bad people but
I noticed a pattern among the few I've met.
answers2: Have you ever asked yourself why you find things like this
so fascinating? The reason, I suspect, is because down inside you feel
uncertain and nervous about the future and think these things might
help you feel more confident. <br>
<br>
But this is precisely why I urge you to put your trust in God alone
for the future. As I have often said, predictions like these about the
future are almost never on target (or else they are too vague to
really mean anything). Why build your life around them or get your
guidance from them? They are only a substitute for the guidance you

My other concern, however, is one that I hope you will take very

<br>
Don't be misled: Occult practices are not from God, but from
spiritual forces opposed to God. Instead, put your faith and trust in
Christ. When we know Him, we know we are safely in His hands no matter

few, if any male friends.
<br>
<br>
But this is precisely why I urge you to put your trust in God alone
for the future. As I have often said, predictions like these about the
future are almost never on target (or else they are too vague to
really mean anything). Why build your life around them or get your
guidance from them? They are only a substitute for the guidance you
really need—which is from God. <br>

how do asian people usually act?
answers1: Your classmate is a racist. No two people act exactly the
same. It goes for Asians too. If your classmate thinks you have to act
a certain way because you're Asian, that is wrong. Have you ever heard
Born This Way by Lady Gaga? The last line is "Same DNA, but born this
way." To me, this means that it is perfectly ok to not act like all
the people of your stereotype. You are unique, and that is cool.
Stereotyping is not right. Don't ever change yourself to act like a
stereotype. Have fun in your life and don't think about how others see
you.
answers2: I'm Filipino and I'm 13...I act no different than those
people sitting next to me in that Asian restaurant only accept I'm
half American and I speak nothing but traditional English.

What is the big difference between greek thater and present theater?
answers1: I'm from the same era as Shorstuff and would have listed the
same things she did. Instead I'll add a few other thoughts. If two
guys had a major disagreement, they duked it out bare handed. No guns
or drive-bys. We had physical freedom that safety concerns have taken
away from our children. On Saturday morning we would get our chores
done and then the rule was be home by dark. You went all over without
adult supervision from quite an early age. People tended to stay in
the same place for years. You would grow up with the same kids from
kindergarten through high school. I think we even had the same mail
man for about 20 years. The groceries you charged and paid for monthly
were bought at small neighborhood stores and the owners usually lived
right next to the store. If you were playing down the street and did
something you were not supposed to do, a neighbor would correct you
and you would listen. There were good and wonderful things about
growing up in the 50s but it also had its dark side. Child and spousal
abuse went unreported. Women had limited opportunities outside of the
home. Racial segregation was the norm and minorities had no recourse
when discriminated against or abused. Every era has its issues but I
think the most serious one we face today is violence. Did someone say
something that hurt your little feelings? Well, get a gun and take
them out! People just seem to take everything to the extreme.

how do you personally feel about poetry?
answers1: I love it! Though I personally rather write poetry than read
it. I really love strong poets like Langston Hughes, meaningful poems.
answers2: poetry is the excellent therapy ive ever come for the time
of. writing it cleanses the soul & examining it reminds us of ways
linked we are. the photographs could nicely be so vibrant & the
translation as much as the reader. poetry is extremely like the dawn.
its each and everything.
answers3: challenging stuff. check out from yahoo and bing. just that

answers4: I'm not a fan of poetry. Most of the stuff I've read, it
just feels like they are trying too hard to be emotive and special. I
like novels so much more because they tell the story better and I'm
sucked into the characters more.
answers5: hard factor. do a search onto google. this will help!

Is ther such thing as poetry auditions?
answers1: challenging task. query on google and yahoo. that could actually help!
answers2: I never heard of a poetry audition. If you want to showcase
poetry there are open mic nights for poetry reading in bars and you
could enter a competition to get published. I guess in some ways
entering a competition is a poetry audition because people will read
and judge your poetry.

answers1: When I did GCSE (last year) we were told that we had to

The poetry explication essay is an analysis of the setting, plot,
themes and language of a poem. The essay has a beginning, middle and
end, although it does not require a formal introduction and
conclusion. Unlike essays about nonfictional topics and other forms of
literature, a poetry explication includes an explanation of such
poetic elements as figurative language, rhythm, rhyme, and word play.

OH Philosophy Philosophy!?
answers1: Actually, it needs two words - "random thinking" is, I feel,
a basic truism of philosophy. Far too many people take it too
seriously, though. Randomness might seem, prima facae, to be
frivolous, but this is the basis of all really deep thought. Think
about it.
answers2: To live with much thought about things that is around you.
How people behave and react, how people talk and think, logic vs
illogical. All these are part of philosophy. <br>
<br>
Philosophers are basically people who think deeper and gain better
insights than most. They questions life, they come up with their
theories why people behave in a certain sense and try to come up with
ideas to which hopefully will change that sense to something that is
better. <br>
<br>
Hope that answer your question.
answers3: developing the best system of living for you and others. <br>
<br>
answering questions that cant be proved. <br>

frivolous, but this is the basis of all really deep thought. Think

which is better, Philosophy or a sermon?
answers1: None of the above. If you read your Bible after you have
accepted Jesus as your savior the Holy Spirit will guide your path and
your life will reflect the love of Jesus so others may want to come to
salvation. What is more beneficial than knowing you may be leading
others to salvation.
answers2: Learn Philosophy and wisdom, those are the path to salvation.
answers3: both are good. a sermon is useally what the pastor believes
but so is philosophy. i have sat and listen to some great sermons
before. and what would you call a sermon. something that teaches the
Bible. cant go wrong with that. even if it is one sided. does not
say you have to agree. just a lesson. i have to take science in high
school and never agreed to that. that is why we have to read the
Bible ourselves. but again you can get a really great sermon and i
will take sermon. all i need to know is in the Bible.
answers4: Philosophy is asking to find an answer that fits the
requirements of the question. Sermons teach an answer to a question
already asked. The answer to your question is "what is the question
for"?
answers5: Philosophy will help expand your mind, a sermon is designed
to crush it.
answers6: Philosophy stretches the mind to come to its own
conclusions. With a sermon, you can't come to your own conclusion
about it, because there is only one correct conclusion. Philosophy is
best.
answers7: a sermon based in philosophy and facts mixed with personal
experience and 20/20 hindsight
answers8: Depends on the sermon. Depends on the philosophy.
answers9: A sermon. Philosophy is more opinionated, a sermon needs
solid backing in scripture.
answers10: Philosophy.
