answers1: When I did GCSE (last year) we were told that we had to
always refer to theme, structure, form and language etc no matter what
the question was, so if it is about identity, relate these directly to
the question e.g how the theme of the poem reveals/is used to show how
the poet feels about his/her identity.

answers3: Poetry Explication / Analysis:

The poetry explication essay is an analysis of the setting, plot,
themes and language of a poem. The essay has a beginning, middle and
end, although it does not require a formal introduction and
conclusion. Unlike essays about nonfictional topics and other forms of
literature, a poetry explication includes an explanation of such
poetic elements as figurative language, rhythm, rhyme, and word play.
