Whats a banned book? Why are they banned?

answers1:Banned books are books that a community determines to try to
keep out of their community, to prevent their being read. They are
typically banned because people find their subject matter or writing
to be objectionable and unfit to read (vulgar, dangerous ideas, etc)
Harry Potter was banned in many places because Christians object to
magic as of the devil and the book promoted magic, therefore in their
thinking it promoted devil worship (or some such nonsense).
answers2:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banned_booksI hope it's helpful.
answers3:A banned book is a book that a group may deem unacceptable
because of it's content, and the group does not allow the book to be
read within their circle of influence. I think it is wrong to ban
books, there are plenty of books I find completely offensive, but I
believe every person has the right to read what they want. If you
want to read an interesting book based on the nationwide banning of
books, read Ray Bradbury's Fahreneit 451. It is a very good book.
answers4:Banned books are books that have been removed form some
libraries because they showcase controversial topics. The libraries
they are removed from are usually children's libraries.for more
