Why did my available credit larger than my credit balance and credit limit?

Delmer Pectol: Also, i made a payment to my internet and cellphones for $500 and the available credit went down to $300 something but the current balance remain the same. What does this actually mean? is this normal?

Lana Uliano: If your credit card has a credit balance that means you have overpaid them $300.That $300 + the $500 you can spend on credit totals $800

Hipolito Rightmire: My bank account is a little bit weird. I went on my online banking and i saw my current balance was -$2xx (does this mean i have to pay $7xx?) , so i made a payment of $4xx. And then i saw the balance went to $200. After that i made another payment of $2xx and the current balance is $4xx. So i think current balance is what i have left that i can use. Lavelle Viveiros: Are you sure they didn't increase your credit limit? If they didn't...I would give them a call to find out what is going on.OP: Can you clarify if you have a Credit Card Balance of $3XX or if that was a payment? If it is your balance and they didn't increase your credit limit...that means there is an error. If that was a payment that means an overpayment. If it's an overpayment they will hold it for a few days to see if you use the card and after a bit they will send you a refund check for the overpayment amount.Update: If you currently have a "Current Balance" of $3XX that means that is what you owe on the card. You must subtract that number out of the $500 Credit Line which means you have about $200 left that you can use. It should state somewhere on your statement(online shows the same info) Available Credit: $$$.2nd Update: Current Balance ! updates somewhere between 24-72 hours after you charge somethi! ng.
