Ardelia Liptow: WEAR A GREEN T-SHIRT MADE OF LEAVES
Kellie Waycott: throw some headphones on start some ballin music or an audio book always helps me zone out and then you have to organize it so it doesnt just get the same way in a few weeks
Melvin Nakama: i started to recycle this year...
Marvella Benward: Buying products that aren't plastic or contain less plastic.
Boyce Gilhooly: just wondering what to do with all of the excess hangers I get from the drycleaners
Bud Espenshade: Just get your room really clean. Then just tidy up every once in a while so you don't have to go through the same mess in a couple of weeks.
Tereasa Sorensen: I've said this before but to avoid cleaning over and over your room you need to learn how to put things again after you're done with them. You eat som! ething- once it's done throw it in the trash. Don't say "I'll do it later" because that's how things accumulate when you always use that as an excuse. When you take something out, put it back when you're done with it. Take 10 minutes out of your day to tidy up something in your room and just generally prioritize the conditions of your room because it is your room. If your room does get dirty make it like a fun activity to clean your room, put music on .. and make it fun. Dance around while cleaning.. but generally to avoid cleaning is to be a tidy person in general and you have to learn to be organized....Show more
Bob Pucella: Take them by the good will store or any other non profit used place--- they bundle and sell them.
Anibal Katayama: Use the special lightbulbs that cut down energy costsTurn off the lights when you're not in a roomTurn off electronics when you're not using them. (TV, computer, etc.)Don't take forever in the shower....so on

Burt Stoecklin: Other then light bulbs, ive got green household cleaning items that do work great, recycled paper towelWhen washing dishes I start off with very little water, the sink gets more full when i rinse with hot water. I can do an hours worth of dishes with one tub of water.Washing all clothes with cold waterBuying plants, growing them from seedsI always buy cool nicknack's I find. I got these pencil crayons from Chapters that are made out of tightly pressed old Chinese newspaperWe use the toilet paper rolls we accumulate in our preschool class for crafts. Mom's even drop theirs off from home.We recycle, bot! tles and paperWe donate, old clothes and junk that still works but we never useWe buy Majesta toilet paper that plants 3 trees for every one they cut downUse tuper-ware instead of sandwich bagsBuy a re-usable coffee mug for those coffee runsI recycle my grocery bags, and I also use those ones you can buy for carrying things to and from workActually the more things I am thinking of the more surprised I am that I do so many things. It's really very easy (and inexpensive) to be green...Show more

Jon Bergmeier: I started recycling (like everything), and followed the directions in these two articles for water conservation and less waste:
Alexis Reyer: Invite someone over that you want to impress, or would be embarrassed for them to see your room in a state such as it is. That way you make yourself. Or just set some time one day a week, put on your favourite music and just tidy a bit.
Madie Strople: If you have a garden PUMP sprayer....dilute bleach with water...spray house with hose, use the bleach solution and then let set for about 15 minutes then rinse. Wear EYE protection....NOT sunglasses either!I would NOT use bleach in the power washer as too much back spray may get on you and could end up in your eyes.Be careful....Happy Cleaning!
Christiane Cattano: I clean my room then after! a day it's really messy again! What can I do to keep my room organised and clean ( I have alot of stuffed toys lol! )
Alden Sabio: No, the power washer won't take care of anything. There are very few things out there that can kill mold. When performing mold remediation, we use bleach, and nothing but bleach. We don't dilute it, we just apply to the infected area, let stand for 10 - 20 seconds, and then scrub it clean. Rinse the area with water and you are done. The bigger question is what is causing the mold? You need to identify and eliminate the source of the mold.
Danette Slotnick: Avoiding disposable items such as paper towels, paper napkins, plastic bags...I do plenty of laundry and use the dishwasher, so towels and dishes don't add to it much. I use "green" detergents, usually by Seventh Generation. I wash laundry in cold water. I am going to set up a clothes line as soon as spring comes so I don't have to use the dryer as much. I use baking soda an! d vinegar for cleaning, or other "green" sprays.
Amada Greising: ! Return them to the dry cleaner next time you take in clothes. I am sure they will appreciate it and you wont be adding to the already over full landfills!
Pasquale Pollet: I use both sides of the toilet paper, and only flush once a week.
Lita Thammorongsa: http://www.thedailygreen.com/going-green/
Corrinne Ruozzo: Your dry cleaner should accept them back just like the plastic bags can be recycled at grocery stores.Another option is to pass it on to someone who needs them. Join your local freecycle.org community and post a message there to give away your hangers. I am sure you will find someone who would want those hangers who can put them to better use. Not to mention that you also get the pleasure of helping someone....Show more
Lourie Mcroberts: Labels???
Blaine Connett: I did several things - I bought reusable shopping bags and it took awhile to get used taking them, but now that I am used to it, it is easy and they hold WAY more than plast! ic. Our neighborhood recycles already, but my old one did not, so I had to save things and drive them to the bin on my way somewhere else. I also got rid of napkins, paper plates, other paper products and in turn use cloth napkins, only regular plates and I bought cloths made for cleaning glass and wood that can be washed. I also now replace bulbs with the long life ones that are curled - I am not sure what they are called. And I also replace my cleaning supplies with earth friendly ones like Method as the old ones run out. I also now give my clothing and shoes that I can no longer wear or use to a women's shelter, along with my daughters outgrown stuff and unplayed with toys. I even go so far as dragging home cans, bottles and things from anywhere that does not recycle instead of chucking them in the trash. It isn't huge, but it is what I can do and I try to pay attention....Show more
Erin Arron: If you have a power washer you don't need any thing else. It will! take care of every thing. Be careful if it is older wood, the power wa! sher will put a hole in it. If you insist on using something though, white vinegar kills mold & keeps it from coming back as fast.
Merna Fauset: More aware of what is plugged in.I compost most of my waste - both regular composting and vermiculture. Currently getting bids on solar panels as well.
Salvador Prchlik: Take them back to the dry cleaners. Every dry cleaner I've used takes them back.
Hunter Beech: bleach will kill and/or stain anything it comes into contact with. After hitting the area with plain water from the power wash you could try something enviromentally safe like simple green.
Olin Hallin: yes they are, they are metal
Foster Koopmann: We have a small power washer. What kind of solution can we use safely to remove mold, moss and just plain dirt from the exterior of our house. Our house does not have siding. We would like to paint it after it is cleaned.
Granville Stray: Turning off the lights when they're not needed - l! ike showering during the day. I always try to utilise natural light!
Kenneth Queener: The drycleaners will take them back without complaint, especially the sturdy brown metal ones. They just use them for other customers, which saves them money and lowers your cleaning bill in a roundabout way.Flea markets and thrift shops often accept these hangers as donations. They use them to hang items that are for sale. They can also be recycled along with other metals, depending on your community's recycling rules....Show more
