Kristina Brockwell: I know a lot about phones because i've been with most of the carriers, verizon, t-mobile, and Cingular. There are two types of service GSM and CDMA. CDMA is used by sprint and Verizon and GSM is used by T-mobile and Cingular. You can use other phones from different carriers if you are using T-mobile and Cingular because they use GSM which allows you to put in a SIM card to switch phones as long as the phone is unlocked. With CDMA you cannot have phones from GSM and GSM cannot have phones from CDMA because they use different technology.Summary - you cannot use cingular phones for sprint because they use dfferent technology....Show more
