Micah Schwarcz: I live in Michigan. It is under debate on if bus service will be cut back. I would NOT choose to NOT have a vehicle in Michigan. Plus, you don't want to be catching the bus in the winter months. They can be quite harsh in the Lansing area since they are off of the lakes.
Stevie Kizziar: I lived in Lansing for years before moving to Chicago, and the public transportation cannot even be compared to Chicago's. It's the worst seriously. If you sell your car you won't be very happy living in Lansing. Of course it has been a few years since I've experienced it, but I assume it's not any better than it was. I think there were only a few bus routes and they stop very few and far between. If you can share your wife's car that might work so you don't die of boredom being stranded somewhere. It all depends on where you live in Lansing that would determine if there even is a bus that stops anywhere near there and you would probably have to get up really early to! catch one of the miracle moments it actually comes....Show more
Stanton Valdivia: I have family residing there, and for all I remember is that they have a large bus system that stops nearly everywhere. I can't remember the name of the system but it's got a dinosaur as it's logo. It also serves Okemos, Mason, East Lansing, and other suburbs.Hope I helped!
