Chris Wilczewski: Just wanted you guys to take into consideration that unlike animals with fur, sheep doesn't shed the wool. If the wool wasn't cut off, the sheep would eventually die because the wool would rot and it would be too hot for it in the summer.

As for the wool, it's my understanding that domestic sheep are bread to not ahead easily, naturally. However, wild sheep shed easily.
