Tyrone Disanti: Well it depends, because there are good venues, and bad venues, just like there are good backyards and bad backyards.My brother and his wife got married at a venue. Stunning hotel ballroom with a beautiful large patio overlooking a very pretty lake. Awesome food, great staff, delicious drinks, the works. So that's a point for venues. But then my fiance's brother got married at a venue. Horrible place. I have seen school cafeterias that are nicer than this place was. Food was awful, had to sit on horrible metal folding chairs, I actually had to explain to the bartender how to mix a VERY simple drink...the list goes on. So that's a point against venues.I have similar stories about backyard weddings too. Been to good ones, been to bad ones. You really have to decide what is best for you.
